With the end of summer looming in the not too distant future, we arrived at Festival No 6 on the Thursday night ready with our glamping gear, wellies at the ready and extra waterproof spay for our tents.
This was to be the third year that CEG have had the pleasure to run a Lost In The Woods Stage and support the local music community with a showcase of amazing local talents as well as giving a platform for young artist at a national music festival. Having built on previous years, developing relationships and meeting some rather amazing folk, it made this year’s event even better and has left a taste of real excitement at what could be achived in the future for us as well as the local artists we support.
Thanks to the local council and festival organisers we were blessed with a truly fantastic stage and an epically talented and friendly sound engineer, who after chatting to, discovered that he had been engineering at stages at major festivals such as Leeds, Redding and V Festival all over the summer and he really knew his stuff.
Although the forecast promised a good amount of rain it was great to see the sun shining on the Friday and Saturday, bringing with it crowds of people into the woods to randomly stumble across some home-grown, under the radar music and share the experience of The Woodcutters Loge Stage with us.
All this nestled in the heart of the woods at a festival like no other in Portmeirion made up a special part of Festival No 6 and we look forward to next years event and finding more amazing local artists and bands to grace the CEG Woodcutters Stage.
