S'mae, prynhawn da, and greetings from Bristol
This weekend I came to Bristol. I bumped into 7 different people who I know and I don't even live here. My friends couldn't believe it
I've been meaning to write to you all for a while but I didn't get round to it.
Firstly, croeso cynes (a warm welcome) to all those who have joined the mailing list recently, and thanks to the people who've been on the list a while for sticking with it.
So far in 2020:
-We had a massive party in De Centrale (Folk Marathon Ghent!)
- I had the set filmed and recorded
- my friend Max Christensen, German musician and producer, has been editing, mixing and mastering the live tracks from his studio in Mannheim.
- Lucas Bois, folk marathon's video maker, has been editing the videos from his new home in Marseille
- I released the first single, El Mundo Está Como Una Cabra on 20/02/20!!
Check it out below. I hope you enjoy it, and if you do, please help me promote it by sharing it with your friends and family, adding it to your playlists etc. If you know any radio people, send it to them!!

Last week I was in Estonia for Winter Ethno Estonia, courtesy of the Ethno-world mobility grant!
I arrived on Feb 6th, and played a gig on the 7th in Rebane Bar, Tallinn. My first ever Baltics gig!
My Estonian friend, jazz & folk singer Hannelore Karmel Juurikas organised it. Out friend Jeroen arriced for the Winter Estonia camp. He's an ethno-world legend, and i met him for the first time at Folk Marathon Ghent. So we invited him to join us.
It went so well that we decided to create a new band, Lost In Sepia. Vilma Talvitie arrived a day later, and we performed our first mini-set as Lost In Sepia the day after that in a farm house in Võruma.
We played the Finnish song thst Vilma taught uson Ethno Germany last summer. Videos coming soon!

Going further back, to the day of Brexit:
On Jan 31st my sister, Ciara and I took the bus to Belgium. I played a Worldwide Welshman gig in our Ghent hangout, Muzikantenhuis. I was joined by locals Antoon and Joachim from my Belgian band, Daniel Woodfield (newest member of the London band) for his second ever Worldwide Welsan gig, and Gaja, Slovenian child-prodigy, on violin, also her second time in the worldwide welshman band.
The day after Brexit, Ciara and I went to Brussels, met some interesting characters and went to a Balfolk event. I randomly bumped into my Brussels friend Arthur outside a Burger restaurant.
On Sunday morning, we filmed a music video for the next single "Goldfish".
Sunday evening I played another Worldwide Welshman gig, in Ghent's best kept secret, the legendary Robinialand...
------------------------------------------------------
On Valentine's Day I released a video, a song from the upcoming live album. I wrote this song at the piano in Robinialand, exactly a year ago (I think I was visiting them on the way home from Kavc Festival...)
Its about our accordion player...
------------------------------------------------------
And now we're going out to explore Bristol and a nearby village...and hopefully do some busking. So have a lovely Sunday and a great week wherever you are!
Worldwide Welshman 23/02/20
P.S. first London (public) gig of the year will be March 28th in Courtyard Theatre, Hoxton!!! Put it in your diaries
