Hello and welcome to my world...
My music has been likened to Tom Waits meets the Doors and it ranges from spoken word beat poetry to soundscapes all the way to folk-hop fushions weaving tales from childhood like Fantastic Mr Fox or modern myth making like American Gods.
I have been a performance poet since first winning the Burns Award aged 5 in primary school. I was lucky enough to have won this and many more whilst I first became an apprentice butcher working the famous Barrowlands markets in Glasgow. I continued to write and work as a chef until I came to study at Chester University where I took a Ba in English and then an Ma in Creative & Critical Writing.
This spurred me onto solo performance on a professional level combined with forming The Glendale Family now Vulpes Urbana.
I have been fortunate to have performed stages and festivals supporting and playing alongside artists such as British Sea Power, 9 Bach, Ben Waters and this summer Cate Le Bon and Dizraeli.
My music and spoken word have featured on a plethora of radio stations including BBC MIXTAPE, BBC Introducing, BBC Wales and BBC 6 Music as well as many local and commercial stations at home and abroad.
Debut solo album coming soon!!!
