Poet MD1 is the first release by Poet MD, a new Alternative Hip Hop project produced by veteran Spoken Word poet Martin Daws (Young People’s Laureate for Wales 2013-16). Produced using live instrumentation played by Martin and multi-instrumentalist Gary Foote (Joan Armatrading, Jamiroquai), Poet MD1 is Hip Hop in the tradition of Gil Scott Heron; speaking from the heart, reflecting on these times of reckoning, imagining the way ahead to a positive destiny.
