Andy Bob Beaumont is a long-time fan of early blues music having first heard artists such as Robert Johnson, Big Bill Broonzy and Washington Phillips back in the 1960s.

Jointly produced by Andy Bob Beaumont and Simon Darvell, the songs on this new “Blues & Roots” album were recorded during the 2020 lockdown. They are Andy’s interpretations of early blues, Jug band and Americana that he has been performing as a solo artist for many years.

The excellent musical embellishment for some of the songs is provided by Simon Darvell, Sally Comfort and Matt Bicknell and all engineering and mastering was done by Simon.
